Early breeding of cockatiel
Many people started early breeding cockatiel in six to seven months of age. My friend asked is this good? Cockatiels may/may not be mature at six months old, but they should be prevented from breeding until their ( worst case of a minimum of a year ) second year.
At this stage, there is less risk of young hens becoming egg-bound as a result of their immaturity, and overall fertility is likely to be improved.
